At Calm Seas Therapy Group, pllc., our Clinical Internship Program is here to give you top-notch experience and comprehensive training, all backed by a team of passionate pros who’ve got your back.

What You’ll Master

Our interns get hands-on experience in a range of therapeutic techniques and practices, including:

  • Diagnostics and assessments

  • Treatment planning and crisis intervention

  • How to write clinically appropriate notes that meet medical necessity

  • CBT, DBT, MI, and client-centered approaches

  • Session recordings and reviews, shadowing, and clinical consultations

Program Overview

Commitment and Schedule:

  • Minimum of 12 hours per week

  • Internship hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 AM - 6 PM MT

  • Closed for lunch from 12 PM - 1 PM MT

  • Flexible start dates and hybrid/remote options (U.S. based only)

Training and Specialization:

  • Focus on trauma in adolescents and adults, social justice, and mental health intersections

  • 2-3 week intensive training program at the start

  • Weekly client caseload: 12-14 individual or family therapy sessions

  • Co-facilitation of a therapy group with another intern or staff member
